A good article, Paul, with just one omission: the voting system. Finland has a different democracy from ours. We have winner-take-all, unfortunately. It explains a lot! In The American Truth one can read how we were had and what we can do about it. Article posted here below:

You are absolutely right that it is not capitalism; it is the voting system, because where in Finland all voters can point their fingers to the party they voted for, here in the US subtract about 40% of the voters that can’t because they voted for the loser.

Majority rule in Finland is based on half the voters, while here majority rule is based on half the voters that won a representative.

That is significantly different. The representatives do not have to listen to voters here, not like the Finnish representatives must. You have more control over your representatives.
