Absolutely true. Yet taking the word theory here as guidance, we have to make the theory touch the ground in some respects otherwise it is just a hypothesis.

A good writer will write about facts and evidence, or will write about good theories that connect to the facts/evidence. A hypothesis here and there is fun, but writing just about hypotheses is not connected to reality enough to entertain me.

The Greek word for God, Theo, is part of the word theory. It shows that the ancient Greeks did not see God as a floating hypothesis, but rather as a fully connected part of reality, though not provable in specifics in this reality.
