An interesting model, and the question is where the power comes from to institute it. So, that is the only remark I have to make, Stephen. You worked it out well except for the spot where the support and the needed empowerment come from.

Once we include these aspects into the model itself, then we are looking at the word democracy as you have used it.

There is an entire world of difference between many nations with different forms of democracy. I believe you need to investigate this better, since understanding this is part of the picture and part of the solution.

Winner-take-all (district voting) gives about half the empowerment to voters as Full Representation (proportional voting). The difference is so stark, also in societal outcomes, that it must be mentioned by anyone seriously looking for solutions to combat the worst of pure capitalism. We have to empower the bottom of society and we do that through empowering voters more than they are today in these 'half-democracies.'

In winner-take-all, the voters compete with the voters. Therefore, many voters end up unrepresented at the table of decision making. Obviously, that is not giving power to all, but rather (and ultimately) to an elite of winners. On average, the voter is relatively weak and this is detrimental for society because the slanting mechanism is then empowered and equality always undermined. Contrast this with Full Representation that has full empowerment for voters. The voters do not compete with one another; they are all present around the table of decision making. The voters are strong. The voters are equals.

I'll add an article on Horses and Horse Jockeys to this reply at the bottom if interested.

One thing I do like is that unions should play an important role. We need industry-wide unions in the United States, to stop the competition between workers. Unions should not be individual-businesses based. Unions should be organized for each industry (geographical restrictions can apply, for instance, organized per each state).

Better still, workers should be able to pick which union they want, so there is competition among the unions. The workers need to be the ones that are empowered more, so empowering the bottom of society, the base of society, that is where a lot of low hanging fruit can be had to 'correct' the 'incorrectness' of pure capitalism.
