In this case, I am not interested in taking in a position because I do not see much there to take in a position. As such, I do question the ones that feel compelled to take in a position; as I see it, they must have an agenda.
What is there to gain when Jesus was indeed a real person?
What is there to gain when Jesus was just an amalgam of people and wishes/ideas?
When I look at both possible answers, I do not see all that much that is interesting. But it is interesting why others would find this interesting. They must somehow feel hurt if Jesus were indeed a real figure.
