Empires can continue to exist if they are innovative and smart. So let me politely disagree that we are going to fall. Rather, what I see is that we are getting down from our high(s) and we are resenting that our path is going down a bit instead of rising. Or: that others are rising while we are no longer.

In the 18th Century, the US was an ideal, in the 20th Century, the example. Now? We don't know because Sweden has the We The People format down much better than we have.

The Founding Fathers never envisioned a two-party system, and yet that is exactly what you are describing as the culprit. We have to do something about it.

The Founding Fathers left us one little door if we ever found ourselves in the shadow of the tyranny of the political mob: It’s found at the Local Level.

The Framers did not include cities and counties in the US Constitution, but they did empower the people with the Ninth, the Tenth and the Fourteenth Amendments.

When a citizen demands that the voting system in their city or county is based on equal and fair delivery (which today it is not), then cities and counties have to listen to that citizen who brings the US Constitution along to strengthen that demand all the way to high heaven.

# The Federal government can keep holding elections as it does today, per the US Constitution.

# The State governments can hold elections any which way they like, per the US Constitution.

# The local governments have nothing in the US Constitution that gives them any US Constitutional powers, so they have to listen to that highest document first, unaltered and without any other powers given to them.

The Bill of Rights demands that we have the best voting system in place in our cities and counties.

It is the first step to innovate the nation toward a more inclusive society, and to eliminate the competition for the sake of competition that is anchored in the winner-take-all system. From the local level, there is a path to change the State elections as well — later, not today. The Federal level will not change, but a third and fourth party may rise from the lower levels of this great nation.

Come join the Local Revolutions grassroots movement.

The Founding Fathers are with us.
