Excellent article, spot on. Same for the lie about poverty. The USA definition for poverty translates into about 40% of what the person makes in the middle. The international poverty rate is 50% of what the person in the middle makes. The EU poverty rate is about 60% of the median income.

By making the poverty rate extremely low, we get to count fewer people as living in poverty.

The scary part is that if we were to use the EU definition, we would have a poverty rate of about 35%.

The scary part is that this would cause a revolution because the people living in poverty would not take it.

Exactly because people think they are middle class when they are not, they lift up the people that think they live right underneath middle class while in reality they live in poverty.

Join Local Revolutions grassroots organization if you want to have a society that benefits more of us, and not just the happy few. If not, then we can wait for another Wall Street crash like 1929 followed up by a New Deal, because that is the standard practice for us.

Give all to the rich until the market blows itself to pieces and then give to everyone as it should have been from the start. That will work for about 40 years, then it will get reverted for about 40 years, and then several decades later the bubble burst at an undeniable scale.

Join Local Revolutions grassroots organization; we have a silly simple solution, one tiny little step at a time, fixing our democracy at the local level first where it is already required per the US Constitution. Only fair elections can get us out of this mess, because now we are giving everything to the majority of the voters, and they are all looking with their noses to the top and not to the bottom.
