Good article, John, and you are completely right. The Democrats don't have a real idea why the Republican Party wins so many times. They win because they want to win and do anything to win. The Republicans focus on Political Power, while the Democrats try to focus on Political Truth.

What I really dislike about Democrats is that they are part of the problem and they point their fingers to anything Republican. The Democrats are holding up the same lousy two-party system that undermines our values. The Founding Fathers never envisioned a two-party system. As such, the Democrats are playing with Political Power as well, indeed blocking real progress toward our becoming a better democracy.

So, shame on the Democrats for not standing up for what the people should be getting: a better voting system. We desperately need that third and fourth empowered party, so all parties move toward expressing their political truths instead of the two parties needing to engage in their political power.
