Good article, Matthew. But I see you are not asking the actual question How democrats can live in a nation that is not a democracy but just a two-party system?
It's an oxymoron to call oneself a Democrat and then not wanting this place to actually become a democracy.
Just so we are on te same page; it explains the internal wrangling on the left because the left is forced to coexist in a single party; the left competes with the left because divide-and-conquer is the essential aspect of our winner-take-all system.
Only one left can be represented, and that left must on top of that also try to outbeat the right for leading the nation. How silly is that?
