Good question, Arlene.

Our grassroots organization Local Revolutions is working hard to accomplish two things:

1. Educate folks about voting systems and about what the US Constitution has to say about voting systems (because… as long as folks do not know their rights, they will sit on their butts);

2. We communicated with over 200 US cities and counties throughout the USA letting them know that they will have to change the way they hold local elections, or else....

Or else.... is Step 4, and so far we have been involved with Step 1 and Step 2, while we are making our first careful moves with Step 3.

First we notify cities that they are not operating their elections in line with the US Constitution. We show them the legal arguments.

The conversations that then follow are considered Step 2, including communicating with many political science professors, who so far either agreed with us or rejected our position without anyone of them (none of them!) being able to articulate legal grounds that we are on the incorrect side of the US Constitution.

The part of Step 2 that we are not very successful with involves publicity. Our grassroots organization does not have an individual among us that stepped up to the plate. So, we literally have one article published in a local newspaper (and right now no one trying too hard to get this off the ground further).

Step 3 involves communicating (once again) with the same cities and counties to let them know that Step 4 is all about taking them to court. Not because they are violating the US Constitution but because they are not investigating the legal matter. Local officials must investigate when they learn that they may be operating elections in violation of the US Constitution. Once they investigate the matter, they will see that our legal point is correct. Naturally, in Step 3, we reiterate that legal position.

It is an iterative process for our grassroots organization. We learn from our mistakes and we get better at what we are doing.

If interested? Come join.

If you want us to do the work instead?

Mention City and State (or County and State when not in a city), and we will send your officials their Constitutional Invocation, letting them know to be on guard because the voters want their US Constitutionally-guaranteed voter empowerment. The Founding Fathers are with us.
