Good replies, Bob.

The US Constitution as it stands demands proportional voting for local and State elections, with as caveat that the State is given enough powers to ignore that demand for State elections.

That leaves the local level where we should have actual democracy in its pure form already. Today we do not have it, and yet we can demand it.

The worst part about US democracy is that all levels of government have the same repressive system in place. By changing one level, we are already changing the mindset because we are then controlling our own destination differently.

By using Thomas Jefferson's voting system at the local level, we can liberate ourselves, without upsetting the apple carts of power at the other levels. By incorporating change at the local level, we can take the first steps toward real change.

About the Mob: The Founding Fathers did not like the Mob to take control, but they also did not want the Mob to control both parties like they are today.
