I know, and that is how power tends to operate.

The first battle is one of divide-and-conquer, just putting the question back on others, or just raising doubt (reasonable or not).

But it also befits anything that exists above us, be it money, power, religion, and let me also add words to that list.

Next to the actual reality, human beings have created an overarching reality that is larger than human beings themselves.

If we look at religion, then in the old days the gods were quite diverse and also relatively closeby. With the monotheistic God, we have a structure of religious power that is far, far removed from our daily selves.

The Jews escaping Egypt, for instance, were better off believing in a single God, because that allowed them an opportunity to leave Egypt. They would not have lasted had they held on to their old pantheon. By uniting behind a single God, their leader could lead them. Much easier than herding cats with people that believe in twenty different gods.

Same, too, with words. By shifting meanings, ro speaking words that the other person does not understand, we have a power game going on with words, too.

Ultimately, money is the pittance because it is both not real and at the same time the most powerful reality on this planet. We truly are guided nowadays by decisions based on money instead of decisions based on people.

We are in that sense degenerated from ourselves. We gave up the center position that we hold within ourselves, and embraced something of greater power than ourselves, even to the point that greater power is not real onto itself.

Keep on trucking, Stephen. You are a good man, and you are a smart man. I am curious what other good pathways you will come up with for mankind.
