I like the article, but not the framing how mathematics is the language of the universe.
The most important feature of the universe is separation.
Separation is more important than unification.
Planet Earth is a unit.
The Solar System is already not a unit, but a group of units, organized.
The Milky Way is also not a unit, but a group of many groups of units, organized.
Then, there is no jump to the universal level. There is no unit, if you think there is then that is a brain fart of the highest order.
If we want to express the most important feature of the universe into a number, then that number would be a Zero.
It is within that Zero that we find many 1s, yet the universe itself is not 1.
Mathematics is also an amalgam of various systems, so even Mathematics is a big Zero in which we find many 1s (think for instance of the difference between the binary system and the decimal system, both capable of expressing the same, but their systems are not the same).
Nice article, real good. But not the jump to the highest level attaching math to some kind of 1. The highest level really and truly is Zero.
