I see where you are going. In District Voting, only the majority gets the seat. That's US politics in a nutshell. We are a democracy of domination. The losers get nothing. It's not just the Federal level, the State levels, but also the local levels. The bad voting system is everywhere. Our voting system is divide and conquer so the dominators get all the seats. The rest of the voters are muted.
