I understand what you are saying, Sheng-Ta, but the point is that there is no basis to atheism. As such, we can delegate it to the realm of beliefs because there is no opportunity to prove or disprove the position. Atheism exists only when the realm of beliefs is accepted first, otherwise there is not a position to reject it.
And that is not the only point to make.
Lurking back to the example of Energy as the common foundation in Science (indeed accepted as a given), it would not be an intelligent position to declare that there is no Energy.
Said differently, the word God will always have a meaning, while we can argue about the specific meaning.
There is no escape from the word itself, that word being God. The word God is therefore a given, and there is always an opportunity to declare God a something, such as in scientific terms one can say there (always) is Energy.
This means that the word God can also be used in a neutral respect, whereas most people like to dress up the word with power (I prefer to dress it up as truth). The point being made here is always. There is always a meaning for the word God.
So, there we are. One cannot deny a word; it is not possible. The contents, we can argue about it.
Thank you for your response. I can see that you have thought about this a lot, and that you are smart. My pleasure therefore sparring with you on this.
