In the winter, for sure. In the summer likely not that much.

As said, I have only seen this pronounced once, so it has not been repeated in as far as I know.

Still, both mother and (therefore) fetus are better off if they have light skin tone in northern latitudes, and dark skin tones in tropical areas.
