Latinx is a term one can use in writing. Pronouncing it, however, one should say Latino or Latina. One should not say Latin-x. It is applied in texts for the benefit of the readers, not the listeners. The reader can make it Latino or Latina at will.

Thank you for your article. I had to respond quickly on the term Latinx, not trying to undermine your article.

Because we live in a two-party system (and not a system of full representation), we do not have two opposite parties as many people like to believe. We have two completely different parties, not based on anything in common. It's is truly like an elephant and a donkey; they are not of the same kind, internally, externally, physically.

We can feel sorry about the elephant; we can just as easily feel sorry for the donkey. But the ones we should truly feel sorry for is ourselves that we live in a nation that says it is the Land of the Free, but that has nevertheless nothing but a two-party system in place only.

The sad part is that the Framers did not put it in place.

They concentrated powers at the Federal level so we would be a strong nation (and we are).

They left much to the States to decide for themselves (and they do).

Yet they made it verboten for the States to undermine our privileges as US Citizens, and the States ignored that big time. The States are the reason we have a two-party system in place.

At the local level, the US Constitution is rather clear about our having proportional representation (full representation) in place. Thomas Jefferson already devised that better system (best for the local level).

We should have political freedom at minimum for cities and counties. Today, we don't. The political powers that be are not cooperating. Our straight jacket is not fully wrapped so we can indeed pull one arm out, but the other arm is currently still tied to our backs. We are not a free nation, per the US Constitution.

Local Revolutions can help you get your political freedom as promised in the US Constitution.
