My hope is that if the UK ever wants back in the EU that the EU demands a better democracy in the UK. Today's UK democracy sucks. It is really bad.

First-part-the-post means that a district appoints a representative when it has the plurality of the votes. 42% is about average.

That means that all the folks making the political decisions need just 50% + one vote of that 42% of all votes. That is 21%.

In nations with proportional voting, 99.3% of the voters can point their fingers toward the person they wanted, sitting in a seat.

When these representatives make a decision with 50% + one vote, then nearly half the voters support that decision through the vote they cast.

That is why the UK sucks at being a good democracy. An elite sits in all the seats, be it left elite or right elite. The few make the decisions in the UK because people are segregated in voting districts first, and the majority of the voters go home empty handed. They got nothing.

That is how divide and conquer works. Segregate people, make them pick a winner among them, and the losers are out. Then, the ones left standing make a 'majority' decision, controlling everyone through minority control.

I love the British people. But they are as dumb as they come when it comes down to understanding the power game. They rather undermine each other than make everyone equal in the voting process and work together.

The English have always been slaves because somehow that is what the English want; they want to be dominated by the bullies.

Glad Truss was outside the EU. She could not bring down the EU to the low standards like Thatcher unfortunately was able to do while inside the EEC.
