But knowledge is power, and if you bump into others that wonder about upsetting the voting structure, then you can mention that the US Constitution actually asks for proportional voting at city and county level. Fed and State do not need to comply, but cities and counties must (but don’t right now).

There is something called the 100th monkey. It is based on research done with monkeys, showing that novel ideas (using tools, I do not remember the details) did not become normal monkey business until the 100th monkey adapted it. Then, all others were doing/using it, too.
