Nonsense. The real form of democracy is stable, but nations have to figure out what that means.

In Germany, it took WW II for the Germans to realize how democracy is done best. They have full-representation yet limit the number of parties to a handful. There is therefore choice, but not enough that everyone gets pulled to the extreme left or the extreme right.

In the USA, we are actually prisoners of our form of democracy. The two parties do not need to compete for real; it's the voters who compete in the voting booth. In normal democracies voters do not compete in the voting booth; they simply pick the representation they want.

In the happiest nations in the world, we see that representation is a privilege. That is not the case in the USA (or the UK). Representation is not a privilege in these anglo nations.

So, we have a problem on our hands. The democratic dictators of the USA can put all their eggs in the baskets that grow the wealth of the elite and the middle class, deny the lowest one-third in society their normal life, and have the strongest army in the world.

As such, the USA undermines the other democracies that provide most if not all people their decent lives. They invest in transit; they invest in housing; they invest in bicycle lanes and sidewalks; they make life as comfortable as practically possible. That means a little more of the cake is taken from the wealthy and given to support the better society that is good for all.

In our democratic world, we have two very important players that are not truly democratic. They hand more power to the political elite and more money to the financial elite, and directly undercut the rest of the world by a demeaning level of competition. I call them fascist democracies.
