Not correct, Glenn.

The Heliocentric theory was proven to be correct. We talk about the Solar System nowadays, not about the Solar-System Theory.

Many physicists were trained by teachers that (in translation) are like English teachers telling young folks to never start a sentence with but. In reality, professional writers use 'but' when they need to use it at the beginning of their sentences. Young people, however, use but waaaaay too much, and that is very embarrasing for any teacher of English. They overcorrect at the beginning in the hope that folks get it right when they are mature.

So, what you are saying is not what the true professionals are talking about; it is what the young ones are trained to not do because they would go into the deep end if they did. Like wolves, they bite at everyone that say that theories can get proven (though it is rare nowadays).

Yes, theories can get proven.

Look at this source:

"A scientific theory is not the end result of the scientific method; theories can be proven or rejected, just like hypotheses."
