I like your write up, including personal perspectives, Andrew. Yet there is one important area in Britain that still needs liberating.
Just one look at the political system, and one can see how the political system is loaded with oppression, diminishing freedom, muting Brits in that political system.
First-past-the-post is a horrible voting system.
Last data I have is that just 42% of the voters picked the winners.
That means that a majority decision by these winners may have as little as 21% or 22% of actual votes supporting that 'majority decision'.
Compare this to Sweden, the Netherlands and Spain, and one can see how 99% of the voters are represented by their own choices. It is actually quite difficult to go out and vote and then not be represented by one's own choice in these nations.
The majority decision is supported by 50% of the votes in these nations. That is a difference with Britain of 29%. Outrageous.
It explains why there is such a class society in Britain. So many people are muted, not allowed to speak through their own representatives, because their representatives are simply not there.
Competition among voters for the win is backward. The parties should compete for the voters' vote, not the other way around.
Then, look at the last four centuries and what Britain has wrought. It put so much competitive pressures onto the world that all other nations had to respond and react to British domination. Enormous negative forces were put into place by the Brits in other parts of the world because they had to compete to stay afloat, or wither.
Britain started the nationalist movement in the world when it put its navigation acts in place in the 16th century, more of less the birth of the British empire.
Like Henry the Eight starting up its own church, the British started up their own empire, not caring one bit about the rest of the world, just focusing on itself, which of course were not all British people but rather the British elite and companies, controlling all folks.
There is still a lot to correct in Britain. If I were you, I would work for liberating the slaves of England, for there are many slaving away in Britain. The elite is still in control, has not given up its power, is not willing to believe in equality in politics.
The British people deserve better. The rest of the world deserves better. We need all nations to have good and decent foundations. Britain today does not have a decent foundation.
There is still a lot of work to do to make the world a better place. One can start making Britain a better place for all Brits.
