Perhaps there are only jobs that are not all that interesting. Most manufacturing has left the nation. Remaining jobs are in IT, or finance, or transportation. Meanwhile, you need a master's degree to get a job. The squeeze is on, and the squeeze is on from all sides; there is no relaxed society. Everyone has to be hip to the game and even then the game can push you off the train. When you want to live in a nice place, you better make the big bucks or marry well. If you want to work in a relaxed job, better accept that steep pay cut. We are so money driven, where is the real fun? Why have we not organized our society better like they have in some other nations?
