Thank you for that update, Vince. We live in an area with many Chinese immigrants and while they are not too negative about China (proud actually, I would say), I do not hear them mention how democratic China is. Ever.

It looks like we are juggling concepts here, so let me use elitism as the concept and how elitism is truly fascism because the top tier in society occupies the regulating functions in society. I don't have too much good to say about elitism.

When I was young, in school we discussed how fascism and communism are ultimately found in the same spot. They may stand back to back, disliking each other, but in the circle of life, or the circle of systems, they are found in the same place. The United States in this respect is a nation with a fascist bend.

I am glad I do not live in a one-party nation like China (glad to hear there are other venues for folks to participate in society), and I hope that one day the US will become a democracy, that would be wonderful.
