The best thing I did for myself was to give up the habit after 15 years of smoking. But quitting on voting is not going to help us to get a better democracy. There is a smarter way than quitting to end up with a better democracy. We have to rattle those cages that will make our politicians take note and today they are not standing up for us all.

In our nation, it takes 30% of the voters to lead the country. In other nations (not all) that is 50% of the voters.

The first thing to realize it therefore that we live in an elitist democracy where a large group of voters is not-represented at all. They go home empty-handed, and the politicians won the first round of divide-and-conquer.

We need to be smart if we want the power that the Founding Fathers gave us. They never envisioned a two-party system and they actually envisioned a pathway when the mob ended up in the seats of our politicians.

Come join Local Revolutions to get the democracy others are enjoying around the world in which 50% of the voters support the decision. We should not accept a democracy in which 30% of the voters supports the decisions like we have here.

Here is the setup with US Senators as the example. They are voted in with an average of 60% voter support. That means that 30% got their Democratic Senator and 30% got their Republican Senator. And it also means that 40% of the voters go nothing.

The 30% that is leading the nation cannot yank the game in their direction all the time because that would end in giving the other 30% the lead. But the larger games are based on that 30% of the voters, like abortion.

Because 40% of the voters are not represented, the politicians do not have to listen carefully to us.

In other nations with a full representative body, at minimum 50% of the voters are being listened to very carefully.

We have voters competing with voters for the win in a district. They have all voters represented in the seats, and the competition is fully between the candidates and the ideologies.

The Founding Fathers provided a pathway. Come join Local Revolutions to explore that pathway. We need to rattle the right cages before our politicians pay us the right attention.
