The data shown about the USA coming in last, voting for Federal elections, was based on 55 years of data. So, pointing to any individuals of late is actually not sufficient to explain what is going on, Teresa.

We have to dig deeper, look into the mirror better. Our elections today are pretty clean in my opinion in as far as following the rules.

But the rules are rigged.

That is the essence of my article.

For the Federal elections, the rules are fully established in the US Constitution, so there is no easy escape (close to impossible to change the setup).

Yet the individual States are ignoring the setup of the US Constitution. Where voter equality is guaranteed (except where taken away in the US Constitution such as for Federal elections), the States say 'forget it'. The individual States do not want to bend to the US Constitution and instead make their State Constitutions equals of the US Constitution (and get away with it until a judge tells them the legal reality is otherwise).

The worst of the worst is that the individual States cemented the two-party system in place, not the Founding Fathers.

If we end up getting free elections, get our political freedom, with State and local elections based on voter equality, then we will likely end up with four or five parties at the Federal level, too, not changing anything about those Federal elections.

We can express ourselves better at the Federal level when the States are not forcing us to go Red&Blue all the time (and our then being happiest when the outcome is purple). It is the individual States that are the bandits, they are the political mob that is keeping us in jail, playing good cop-bad cop with us.

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are just strange outcomes of our bipolar illness. There is a cure, via liberating ourselves at the local and State election levels.

Thank you for your reply, Teresa.
