The entire world is laughing at us because our political system is not working, Putin testing it to see if it breaks (and fortunately not succeeding). I just need to look at abortion that no politicians ever decided on; the Supreme Court had to step in and now seems to be stepping away from. And look at gun regulation with not much happening while almost everyone in the nation wants it regulated better.

There is a fix, Dave, but it does not involve our sitting on our hands complaining about our politicians sitting on their hands. There is something we can do, if indeed we do it.

Our democracy is in deep trouble. The truth is that the mechanism of voters competing with voters for the win is a horrible thing. Why have our voters come out of the voting booth as the haves and the have-nots? That is nuts.

Other nations have full representation; all voters are represented. They have abortion policies in place and the lowest numbers of abortion rates. They regulate their guns for hunting and the likes. They have health care for everyone. They have We The People, and we have a banner that says the same.

We don't need twenty parties, definitively not, let's agree on that. Besides, we can't change the Federal level in the constitution so that won't occur. A blessing as long as we can get rid of the nasty voting system in the other elections, State and local elections.

The Bill of Rights demands that we have full representation at the other two levels of government, most clearly so at the local level. Once we can vote in actual freedom at the other two levels, then we will break the two-party mold. We will then end up with three, four or five real parties at the Federal level too. We need a better democracy with politicians who value the voters. We have to break the mold.

Find out how to change our hijacked democracy in the article below. The Founding Fathers never envisioned a two-party system, and they did indeed provide us a path back to good governance.
