What happens when power shifts away from you….

Empires rose, love exhilarated, nature conquered.

And then, it didn’t go all the way to bliss and happiness!?!

How come, and… what is next?

Why does success not succeed all the way into eternity?

Because… Life is not based on a single plan.

If Life were based on a single plan, we would have achieved the single accomplishment of success already.

Many Moons ago already, and you’d know about it.

Who is next in succession?

The USA is 4.22% of the world population. And… that percentage is diminishing.

The odds are not good for sustaining that same power in the long run.

The EU is 5.6% of the world population. And… diminishing faster still.

Power NEVER sustains itself unless there is a real base.

Money is a good system, but money is itself not real. Money bends toward power, so power is the means to becoming the top dog. Yet the top dog won’t stay top dog forever. The other dogs know it.

History lesson:

After the UK dominated the world for three centuries, the USA became its successor.

There were always competitors to any nation claiming that it was best, so it does not mean there was just a single nation in full control. France competed with the British Empire. The Soviet Union competed with the West led by the USA.

Competition is the natural state for businesses and nations (unless they cooperate).

Wars are fought over dominance. (No need to explain this part, right?)

There is no freedom associated with domination; there is no inherent freedom to be yourself when there is a dominating force that wants to dominate.

No freedom, except for those who dominate.

The dominators are free.

But… no one else is free.

That is why France set up its own empire to compete with the British empire, and get for themselves the benefits of dominating at least parts of the world. That is why Germany and Italy were called into being as well, to compete with the large European empires at equal levels. Had they remained divided like before, the German states and the Italian states would have become slaves to the other empires.

And that is why political systems matter.

Political systems can help regulate freedom for more people.

Power systems:

  • One party, THEY are free; their subjects are not free.
  • Two parties, BOTH parties are free but THEY have to negotiate with the other party some of the time, though not always. Their subjects who voted for them are not free in choosing who they want, always limited to red or blue. All folks do know that true freedom is then not fully achieved, but as a lie it can be accepted as if it were the truth.
  • four-to-six parties; EACH party is free but must use their voter mandates to cooperate; their subjects who voted for them are limited in their voting power but they do have a substantial choice. The parties must compete are their very best. Voters can pick from red, blue, purple, orange, green and yellow. Lying is not a viable game for most parties, though one or some parties may lie and could be believed by some of the voters.
  • Ten-to-twenty parties: EACH party is free but has to cooperate real well (often with more than two parties) to form a government. With this voting system, the voters are strongest of any voting system in the world. Yet the parties must give in to other parties to end up collaborating in a coalition government. The mixing of colors can lead to a boring gray outcome. A good number of voters do not like the system and vote for parties that agitate against the system of twenty small parties.

The Open Wide today is where the people in the ‘free world’ decide they are going.

It’s Open Wide!

As mentioned, the population in the USA is 4.22% of the world population (a dwindling percentage that is not expected to ever rise in this coming century by itself).

The population of the EU is 5.6% of the world population and expected to diminish even faster than the USA.

When love stops, and one has to go it alone, then it can be a lonely world.

Voters who have a real choice will always be part of the world. But… we may never be in the same position of strength we were before, after voters successfully vote for a single direction and making this our only direction. From two or multiple parties to a single party in full control.

  • Diversity is what makes mankind great.

No nation with a four-to-six party system went to war just because it made that decision by itself — ever.

Single- and two-party nations went to war (to conquer) others many times.

The wide open depends on your choice, on your vote, on your system.
