The original state can be seen as a unit, but to end up with the result, we have to have that unit break in a fundamental manner some 13.8 billion years ago. Instead of one closed system, we now have two closed systems (which does not undermine the overall reality that energy does not get lost).

That means there was an energized reality, and it undermined itself.

I hope you see that we do not need a black hole because a black hole is trying to find meaning beyond what is scientifically available to us; it is a bad step in science therefore, and all Tim is doing is doubling down on bad science.
