The other forces do not peter out; they end up being just gravity and not much else.

Synergy is the word to explain gravity: combine all other forces and then you have gravity.

Throw all specific forces in a hat, and they will collectively end up having a direction. That is gravity.

Specific forces combined make one generic force.

At the universal level, gravity does peter out. A galaxy flying in opposite direction of the Milky Way will not be pulled in by gravity. The Andromeda galaxy is basically flying in the same direction, so that is how it is possible for both to end up as one (in about 4.6 billion years).

Gravity holds the Milky Way together. But the fastest motion we are involved in is not based on gravity. It is based on the catapulting action of the materialization process. What happened 13.8 billion years ago is still responsible for the fastest motion we ourselves are involved in today.
