The point is not the movement of matter, moving outwardly away from one another, ever since the Big Bang. We can call that expansion, with galaxies moving apart from one another as proclaimed by the Big Bang theory. Yet that is not the universe.

I know there are other views, but this is the view I accept, based on a variety of outcomes that confirm this for me.

The larger point is that the universe cannot have a function. So, the universe cannot expand. This is a linguistic mistake of the gravest order.

A common example that shows the mistake perhaps well is people saying:

"The 405 freeway experiences a lot of congestion."

It sounds correct. Everyone understands what is said. But it contains a falsehood.

A freeway is a lot of asphalt laid out in a certain way. It is not possible for a freeway to do any experiencing. It is not a living thing, so it cannot experience anything.

It is the people inside their cars that are experiencing the congestion. So, the 405 does not experience congestion, ever. It is not correct to say it is.

The human brain takes short cuts, and as long as the other person understands what is being said, then Who cares, right?

But when we have just a few facts to hang our story on, about the outcome of the Big Bang, a process that is not repeated, that occurred just once, then it becomes vitally important to not have a linguistic mistake blur the picture in undesired manners.

The universe is not a unit, so it cannot expand. There are no universal units. No physicist has ever pointed out any universal units, so there is no scientific footing to the word Universe, just like there is no ounce of life in a freeway.

There is matter and there is space. Modern physicists are confusing space for something it is not, and so they make the universe a thing of matter&space as if these two things combine into universal units somehow.

The fallacy must be removed from the way physicists are thinking, otherwise they will always come to the wrong conclusions.

In the decimal system, there is 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.

When a person is not paying attention to the decimal system and yet wants to tell a completed story, then they may end up placing a truth in the zero position, telling how things are. Yet there should not be any occupation of zero itself.

That means that if we have a group of 9 people, then we can indeed fill in the zero position and say "this is a group." But when we have the group do something a group cannot do, then folks are abusing their minds with language.

One cannot say, "the group went to the one-person bathroom, peed while standing, and was done in one minute." Sorry about the silliness, but the point is that the universe is the largest setting, infinite in essence, and one cannot say that it expanded. One cannot have infinity expand; it is not realistic to say that.

Spacetime is only correct under the following circumstances:

A/ We're talking gravity as the only force for matter there ever was.

B/ We're investigating just the behavior of celestial masses in star systems or galaxies.

See? That is not the same as the universe. That is one big level way below the biggest level.

In another example, people singing does not mean the universe is singing. The specific truths cannot be applied to the universe as a whole. Gödel already showed us that about 100 years ago.

The envelope with 'Universe' as last item written on it will only be delivered if there are other items on the envelope that give the postal person directions.

The word Universe is completely and totally useless for the postal person. It has no function. Of course, the postal person knows that the universe is real. But it does not help with delivering the letter.

That is the zero position. In the zero position, we can place any word we like, make it enormous, the biggest there is, Universe, Everything, God, Nature, Mankind, and there is then nothing that our feet are standing on. Even when our brains do see the meaning. But seeing a meaning is easy: the brains are trained to see the meaning.

Scientific feet cannot stand on the universe. They should stand on something real, like energy or matter.

We embrace Santa if we say that Spacetime is the universe's mechanism. We blind ourselves accepting a truth that is not the truth. The truth is that (some) energy ended up transforming into matter-on-the-move.

We cannot tell a creation story because we are then automatically moving into a non-scientific realm. We can only establish a transformation story if we want to maximize our truthful views on what is found in the universe.

There is no scientific data for any all-inclusive levels we can think of. The words do not belong inside science.

The reason for all this to even be possible is because the Big Bang was a one-time event. The largest level got undermined and ended up being non-functional.

The group decided (with a group decision) to all walk in a different direction and to not return.

The functional group stopped existing. The group once was, but is now non-functional.

The 9 people are still the 9 people, but they do no longer form a group. So, the word group that was placed in the zero position did say something extra and truthful about all 9 people. Yet now that cannot be said anymore because the group fell apart. So, it was not a universal or eternal truth.
