Then I am really curious what you think about the CMBR.
One of the options I play with has to do with the concept of 'islands of energy' in which galaxies are the largest material realities in our universe and a 'cocoon' of remnant of original energy is found throughout that limited (but enormous) environment.
Said differently, when I wear pink glasses, I will see pink even among the whitest of white objects. So when we aim our telescopes at areas where there is nothing much and see the CMBR, then we cannot know whether we see a distant source of information or whether we are seeing our own outer layer of the cocoon of remnant original energy. There is no way to distinguish what we are seeing and we should develop both ideas fully.
When looking at another galaxy, the thermodynamic readings will be too complex to distinguish whether there is a cocoon of 3K there or not (at least, that's what I think, there may be a way around to discover this).
Curious if you want to share your thoughts, Graham.
