Up with a true democracy! So listen Up: The Founding Fathers provided us a gift:

They left out cities and counties when they were handing out US Constitutional powers. The People are mentioned, as are the Feds and the States, but the cities are not mentioned.

And it means that the cities and counties must follow the Bill of Rights 100%. They do not have a cop out like the States have.

Here is the good news:

Cities are not allowed to segregate voters into districts and then declare them each other's equals. Separate-but-equal is unconstitutional at the local level.

This is great news, because did you know that voters in district elections have about half the power that voters have in proportional elections?

We can demand that cities give us the true form of representation. Nothing is cleaner than proportional voting. At-large and district voting are inferior voting systems.

We compete with other voters for the red or the blue win. In Proportional Voting, that portion of the voters that voted for red gets that same portion of the representatives. A portion of ten percent voting Green? Then ten percent of the seats go to the Greens!

Pro-portional. Each portion of voters gets that same portion of representatives.

Join the local revolution. The Founding Fathers are with us.
