We agree, Richard, about our politicians not getting all that much done. Naturally, when the political center does not come to outcomes, then there is always a group that benefits from our not-regulating society better.

Our politicians are not capable of doing much right. Once Blue is in control, they try to do as much as they can, yet when Red is in control, they try to undo as much as they can and vice versa.

So, we do have an emphasis on the individual as you rightfully pointed out. Yet that is particularly so because the individual is left to his or her own devices.

There is a pathway for us to get Proportional Voting, today. But most folks don't engage because it is at the local levels only. A small group of entusiasts is working on getting this established. The Bill of Rights demands that we have the best voting system at the local level.

Once we open up voters to actual freedom at the local level, then the two-party system will fall apart even at the Federal level (and likely become something like a three, a four, or a five-party system).

Come join if interested.
