We have a North pole political party and we have a South pole political party (or an equatorial party, if that is how you prefer to see it). We are binary; politically, we are not free.

Our restricted voting system warps who we are because we are not given any real political powers other than those few lucky voters in the middle that change political red into political blue, and vice versa.

We are binary people, and just like the North pole declaring the entire planet South, we end up declaring others South (or North, depending on the positions we take in).

While pointing at the others, we forget to tell ourselves the truth that we are not honest ourselves either. We don't live in a nation that embraces freedom; we have a two-party straight-jacket that worms and weasels it way to staying on top. We sit on our hands and do nothing but complain.

Our politicians do not govern us; they governs so they can get reelected. They manipulate. No wonder people retreat. No wonder the voter turnout is the lowest in the free world. We ain't that free and we vote with our feet.

We can change the game a little. Voting in districts is not always allowed, because it is segregating people in districts and only then declaring them each other's equal. That is separate-but-equal and that is not allowed at the local level (it is at the federal level where the separate states are each other's equals).

If you wish, you can join the new voter right movement to get the full color voting system where you live. It may not be much, but it is better to have one place that is full color than to have all three levels of government be red-and-blue only.
