We have been at this before, Stephen. I do not object to your good thoughts, and yet the true basis for power must lie with people and not with an established entity created by people that is itself not an actual entity other than held in place by the value given to it by the people.

Democracy is based on the word Demos, which means people, folks. Cratia points to the words power, rule.

Plutocracy is based on the words 'wealth' and power, rule.

As such, I have to reject plutocracy. I embrace democracy. But... I do want the most suitable form of democracy.

In the US, that would means a three-to-six party system at the federal level, but I doubt that can ever get passed.

At the local level, we must already get the real version of democracy in place, so we are working hard on achieving that.
