Monotheism religions are based on a unifying principle. Buddhism, Hinduism (most of it) and ancient religions are not based on a unifying principle.
How is it even possible that you say that 0 and 1 are one and the same, Thomas? You are very intelligent, so how can you say something this crude and incorrect?
Don't you see that if you look inside yourself that you find a unique person, perhaps the same in various ways like many others, but definitively not the same like all.
There is no person in the world who is young, old, male and female at the same time. Does not exist, has never existed.
Just because we all have vision and perhaps even desire one and the same vision does not mean we are Cyclopses.
You have two eyes, and if you are created in God's image like all of us, then we also know that God is not a Cyclops. That means there are always TWO fundamentals in play, not one. There is no unification of all into One, at no level.
The prior reality (say 14 billion years ago) broke. Had it not broken, we would not have been here. It broke and it won't become whole, simply not possible. The omelet declares loud and clear that the egg got broken.
It may not feel right, but our goal is not to become One in an overall sense. We need to become One with our specific self. That is the goal.
Unification is a child's dream. Cyclopes are artificial. Unicorns a fantasy.
