What Existed Before the Big Bang?

Because we live in a result, we can know, too, how there was a prior setting. After all, energy does not get lost. That means that when there is a new form of energy — matter — then we can view how that original energy ended up establishing matter. Yet we can explore then as well how energy would have existed prior to the Big Bang event.

For some reason, only a handful of physicists are ‘actively’ exploring the prior state of the universe. Most other physicists declare that, since there is no data about the prior state of the universe, there is then also no ability to declare anything about that prior state.

Yet the resulting omelet does declare four facts loud and clear, even though there is just one of the four facts in front of us.

  1. There is an omelet
  2. There once was an egg
  3. The egg broke
  4. The eggshells are not part of the omelet

Our current reality is therefore a combination of #1 and #4, even when #4, the eggshells, are not found inside the omelet itself.

That’s a quick brush about the setup.

This article is about #2, how there once was a reality that preceded our current reality, and why this setting ended up moving toward a stage in which it undermined itself.

First off, the original state.

Energy does not get lost, so we do not need to find it. If you are looking for the origin of energy, you will not get very far. In science, energy is a given. No scientist is looking for the origin of energy, and those who declare that energy arrived together with the first appearance of matter do not have a good command over their structural thinking.

For certain, there is a clear distinction between the egg and the omelet. The egg and the omelet cannot be made one and the same, nor can the omelet change course and become an egg again. Anyone stating how the egg and the omelet are one and the same is not really paying attention.

One-time events are negative events.

When a vase breaks, then the vase will not be able to repair itself. So, there is a prior and there is a present time. There is a before and after, and these realities are not identical.

  • The laws of physics do not allow one-time events to return to their original state.

How could the prior state have existed?

Obviously, the laws of physics would have applied to the prior state. Yet when there is no matter yet, just energy, then the laws of physics would be simpler in essence. It is with the additional formation of matter, derived from some of all energy, that a more complex outcome came into being. As such, the laws of physics would end up showing a greater diversity among that result.

To show an important aspect of this change, review the following table.

Example of a Group falling apart

When starting with a group as the prior situation, and that group falling apart, one can place before and after next to one another and see what is distinct about both situations.

The first thing to notice is that in the current situation the highest setting is not populated any longer. The group has disbanded, and what had been most important is now an abandoned level.

Make sure you understand how that level still exists, but… is abandoned.

Notice also, how as part of the example, planet Earth would not have existed in the prior state because none of all that energy had been materialized yet. It takes matter before one can discuss planet Earth.

  • As such, the current state does portray something new

Therefore, the original state can be declared a collective compared to the self-based, individualized results one can observe among the current outcomes. Note how this declaration about the prior state is based on the results. Declaring the prior state a collective is expressed as the before in contrast to the known outcomes after in which one can see that the full-collective nature is abandoned.

Even when one can declare planet Earth a collective outcome itself, it is of a far smaller reality than the original fully-collective state. Planet Earth is fully disconnected from all other galaxies moving in different directions away from the Milky Way or the Local Group.

And that is not all.

When a dinky toy drives off a table and crashes on the floor, an important aspect of a one-time event becomes obvious.

  • An ability that had been present is now gone.

The dinky toy does not repair itself, nor will it retain the possibility to ever drive again. An ability that had been an ordinary aspect of the toy is now simply gone.

  • The laws of physics in the prior state contained an ability that is now gone.
  • The laws of physics today need to incorporate the largest level that does not contain any energy anymore.

Not many physicists embrace the idea of the largest level being empty. Rather, like a mathematical equation in which one part has zero value, physicists simply eliminate the largest level together with the empty value.

  • Even with space as the obvious result at the largest of levels, physicists tend to declare space part and parcel of the universe, as if space itself can expand itself.

For some unknown reason, physicists cannot let empty be empty.

Because the prior state undermined itself, we can look for a reason why the prior state ended up doing that.

Naturally, the story cannot be told in exacting words, but it can be told in general terms.

For instance, if we declare the prior state a collective energized state, then the difference between before and after is that, within the reality after, we still have outcomes that can be declared as collective though we must then also accept that separation is present and actually had become the larger aspect of the two.

During the Big Bang event, the battle between separation and all energy staying together was won by separation yet then without separation being able to fully undermine the collective nature of energy either.

And that is what we see among the results indeed.

The collective nature of matter is seen with:

  • Planet Earth
  • Solar System
  • Milky Way
  • The Local Group

But this is not seen at the universal level. The universal level does not contain any collective characteristics.

The prior energized state of the universe undermined itself.

More on the prior state of the universe next time, when the reasons why energy undermined itself are explored.
