When a clock shows us a time difference when sent out into space, then we have two options: we can recognize that even the most solidly behaving matter speeds up its behavior in outer space (and the clock shows that), or we can recognize that time in spacetime is different.
I prefer that the dog wags its tail and not that we are wagging the dog.
