When thinking black&white, we can never conquer the colorful problem, Ray.

To declare the world as communism and capitalism, and nothing else, that throws an enormous baby out with the bathwater.

I have seen it many times. Folks declare something bad and then quickly jump away from it to what is good -- without examining the essence of the bad problem. That means the proffered solution will not be the solution either because not well-informed.

Capitalism is already not the opposite of communism, plus there are many different capitalist nations in the world today. The United States, to focus on our own country, has a capitalist system as you describe it. But other capitalist nations do much better, and are actually pulled down toward the rat race version of capitalism by the USA.

Here is an article about the controlling mechanism of capitalism, how some nations have a decent control in place and others (among them the USA) do not have a good control in place.

That is where folks should start. Why is the USA not controlling its capitalism better? Why is our government such a weakling compared to other nations in light of the capitalist pathway?

Why do voters in the USA have only half the voter empowerment compared to voters in Scandinavia and other proportional nations?

'Horses and Horse Jockeys -- a quick analogy on capitalism and governments.
