Words hold the biggest of truths.

It is possible to view words as part of sentences and see that words only get their exacting meaning in that larger setting. An example is Blue, a word that means something entirely different in the paint store than on the couch with the shrink. The truth of the word reveals itself only if the context of the word is understood.

Yet words themselves come with a context as well, even when a word is used all by itself. Silence is a word that can be understood by itself, while the word silenced demands a larger context; we can see that silenced pulls us in, we are curios what the larger setting is. Meanwhile, silence can be left for what it is.

  • Already a noun and a verb pull us in different contextual directions.

In this article, the goal is to show that there is no natural overall context for words in which all words have their place. The goal is to show that the big-picture of words reveals a multitude of contexts, itself then willy-nilly in essence, never building up to a single overarching context.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

This common phrase tells us that the individual declares that something is ‘of beauty’ or not, and that another individual may or may not agree with that personal assessment.
