Wow, you say nothing about the voting system. This is a fantastic example how the voting system has infiltrated your thinking, Nicolas. You see the problems in society, just like we all do, and you are pointing directly at the opposite end of your own political compass. Really, this is the two-party system in action.
I really do not understand people that embrace district voting and then continue from there as if nothing is wrong with the overall set up. This old tree delivers fruit that doesn't taste well. And yet here we are, folks pointing across the political moat because that what is wrong is found on the other side.
Democracy means a system where the voters are represented by others they voted for. So, the UK and the US aren't really democracies because the voters have to compete with other voters first before they can get their single representative.
There is a voting game in the UK and the US, diminishing the political light by quite a bit. The game is fascist in nature, though with the word fascist I mean elitist. Only the majority sits in the seats and, next, the majority-of-these majority-representatives make the decisions. Elitism at its best/worst.
This tree needs to be replaced by a healthier tree in which large amounts of voters don't end up as losers.
True political freedom is already achieved when there is a system in place with four or five parties taking turn over the years, making collective majority decisions. Pure proportional voting is best at the local levels. In the UK and the US, just two parties have been going full steam, taking turns over the years. Pathetic. Not a democracy in the true meaning of the word, just a crummy two-party system.
My suggestion, Nicolas, is to deeply meditate on your thinking and hopefully you recognize that your thoughts are the products of a bad system. It truly is just one mistake you made, but you made it right at the beginning: you did not consider there was anything wrong with the system you are in. That is truly the only mistake. You followed all the steps in that system and you came to one conclusion: the others are wrong.
You should have recognized how your conclusion pointed you in the right direction: you are standing on one foot wanting to chop of the other foot. Your conclusion should have shaken you to the core. I am sorry that it didn't.
Minorities are actually doing much the same, embracing this old system that does not benefit them much. My latest article is about minorities and the crummy system.

Good luck on your travels through the true political landscape. Don't be afraid to look in the mirror.
