You want to wag the dog, John. We should want the dog to wag its tail.
In Proportional Voting, the voters are more empowered. Those that want to influence the outcome via money get to play a lesser role. Their influence truly diminishes (but not to zero of course).
Those that sit in the decision making seats today are the happy minority, just look at the wealth of our Senators.
By changing the voting system, we can get more empowerment over our banking system.
The bad news is that we can take baby steps only, and many folks seem to look away. Only some of us see the pathway the Founding Fathers provided. Still, we have to take the baby steps if we want to change anything.
Come join the Local Revolutions grassroots movement. We are Invoking the US Constitution and demand that local governments use the voting system demanded in the Bill of Rights for cities and counties. These are the baby steps to take, and we can then built this out further. Only bottom-up can get us where we want to be. Top-down changes are for dreamers and not effective.
Come join. Provide City+State and your city will receive a Constitutional Invocation. They have to follow the law. If we don't kick the ball, then the ball is not going into the goal.
