And nary a word by Democrats how we are caught inside a lousy voting system. Not a single attempt to deliver us the political pursuit of happiness the Founding Fathers provided us. We can break down the lousy two-party system if we follow the US Constitution to the correct spots where change must already be put in place today.
The Founding Fathers did not establish a two-party system.
They put a restricted voting system in place for the Federal level only.
The States doubled down and put restricted voting systems in place at the State level -- not allowed, but the People said nothing.
The States tripled down and put restricted voting systems in place at the local level -- not allowed, but the People said nothing.
The government is not allowed to deny or disparage the rights retained by the People (Ninth Amendment).
But the people did nothing, sat on their hands, and pointed at the Federal level as the place where things were not going according to plan.
Say ork, ork, ork, and a good number of people would answer that you eat soup with a fork.
Repeat and thou shall believe.
The People need to take back their republic where they should not have let it slip from their hands: at the State and at the local levels.
Once we have proportional voting in place (the only clean voting system there is), then the wool will come off our eyes rather quickly and see the actual reasons why people voted Orange inside the Red Party successfully and how people voted Green but could not get the Blue Party to abide.
Voting proportionally at the State levels, and the Federation will end up having three, four or five parties. The perfect outcome.
We are not the Land of the Free because we are not brave enough to stand up against the two Party Machines. We embrace good cop or we embrace bad cop, and we sit in jail waiting to be released because some day that should happen, right?
'A Republic, if you can keep it (but we didn't)'
Read it if you want the republic back.
